Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova HE Natalia Gavrilita met on Sunday, 12 June 2022, with a delegation from Qatar Chamber led by its Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani.
The meeting, which was held at the Sheraton Hotel, was also attended by QC second Vice-Chairman HE Mr. Rashed bin Hamad Al-Athba , and Mr. Abdul-Rahman bin Abdul-Jalil Al-Abdul-Ghani, a member of the Board of Directors.
The meeting touched on reviewing bilateral relations at commercial and economic fields and means to enhance them, as well as the investment climate and opportunities and the role it can be played by the private sector to develop trade between both sides.
Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova HE Natalia Gavrilita praised the strong relations between both countries, noting that she is looking forward to enhancing these relations to higher levels especially in commercial and investment aspects.
HE Natalia Gavrilita invited Qatari businessmen to visit her country and learn about opportunities galore in many sectors especially in the sectors of agriculture, infrastructure, medical tourism, tourism and others.
On his part, QC Chairman paid tribute to the good relations between Qatar and Moldova, noting that despite such relations, their commercial relations are still below the aspirations of both friendly countries.
HE called on businessmen from both countries to benefit from such relations and work to level up their cooperation, especially that there are a wide range of opportunities in both countries in various sectors.
Sheikh Khalifa expressed the great interest to advance the relations between the two countries in many areas, especially in economic and commercial spheres, making it clear that Qatar Chamber strongly supports cooperation between business sectors in both countries.
Qatari investors are interested to get acquainted with the opportunities available in Moldova, he stressed.
