In the presence of Qatar Chamber Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al Thani, the Afaaq Company, which is the first platform that gather investors and owners of project ideas, was inaugurated.
The opening ceremony was attended by HE Sheikh Faisal bin Fahd Al Thani, QC First Vice-Chairman HE Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, QC Board Member Dr. Mohammed bin Jawhar Al Mohammed, and Mr. Ihsan Al Khaimi, in addition to a number of businessmen.
The company, which is run by two Qatari women entrepreneurs who aspire to transform the ideas of entrepreneurs into successful projects, aims to gather investors and owners of project ideas and support the existing ones to transform distinguished ideas into investment projects with economic feasibility added to the national economy.
The company’s vision also aims to open the door of investment for investors and incubators to help Qatari and non-Qatari entrepreneurs, by providing opportunities for distinguished projects that are difficult for individuals to implement under the supervision of a commercial cadre specialized in project management and provide consulting to avoid common mistakes.
Afaaq is managed by Qatari citizens who succeeded in attracting successful business cadres working to present the ideas and initiatives of young people to business incubators, guiding and directing emerging businesses, in addition to providing investment opportunities to buy and sell existing projects.
Afaaq’s consultants seek, in scientific and practical ways, to study ideas and proposals and provide ways of financing them, which contributes to achieving profitability that is compatible with the local market in Qatar.
